lisbeth westergaard<p><p><span>About Lisbeth Westergaard</span><span><br></span><b><br><span>Landscape Architect Lisbeth Westergaard is proprietor and manager of LIW planning.</span><br></b><span><br>Lisbeth graduated from the University of Copenhagen in Landscape Architecture and Planning, and from the School of Architecture. The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1996 with a year of Art History at the University of Copenhagen in 1994-95 and an internship at Agence Ter in Paris in 1993-94. Until the establishment of LIW planning ApS , she worked as an independent consultant and freelancer, i.a. for SLA from 2001-2005, where she, was a project manager for the concept and development projects and various prize-winning competition entries.<br></span><br><span>In addition to her practical architectural work, Lisbeth has also taught Landscape Architecture at the University of Copenhagen - Landscape Architecture and Planning, and is a member of the examiner corps of the Landscape Architecture program.<br></span><br><span>Lisbeth has been appointed jury member since 2003 for, among others, The Danish Architects’ Association, and has been a judge, inter alia, in the competitions on Marielyst Square and Beach Path (2013), Climate Change Adaptation in Kokkedal (2012), Urban life at St. Ann's Square, parallel assignment (2012), Viborg Baneby (2012), Extension of the Panum Complex (2010), Copenhagen Science City, Nørre Campus (2010), new Library and Cultural Centre in NV, Copenhagen (2009), and Toftegaards Square (2008).<br></span><br><span>LIW planning was established in 2006 and has since actualised several significant urban spaces, including New Town Square in Viborg, urban space around Hannemanns Avenue at Copenhagen Towers in Ørestad and the Måløv Axis in Ballerup, which recieved the Danish Landscape Award in 2010.<br></span><b><span><br>Resume<br></span></b><b><span>Education</span><br></b><span>University of Copenhagen, Landscape Architecture and Planning 1991-96</span><br><span>School of Architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts 1995-96</span><br><span>University of Copenhagen, Art History 1994-95</span><br><span>Internship: Agence Ter Paris v.
